NOTD: China Glaze Harvest Moon Swatches & Comps

Hello Everyone!

The polish I have for you today is from the China Glaze Hunger Games collection. The polish is called Harvest Moon, and I think it is aptly named. A long time ago when I was about 10 years old I went on a Halloween themed hayride. It wasn't scary but we did go through corn fields. I will never forget that night because I remember the moon was huge that night. I'm sure there is a name for that but I'm not sure what it is. Nonetheless when I saw this polish it took me back to that night on the hayride. That is why I feel this polish is appropriately named.

Harvest Moon is a copper foil polish. That seems simple enough, right? One would think so, but until you see this polish I don't think you can fully grasp how stunningly beautiful it is. I've seen plenty of copper polishes in my life, but this one, this one blows me away. The color of Harvest Moon is so rich. That's the best way I can describe it. On the nails Harvest Moon almost looks molten.  Pictures shown are 2 coats Harvest Moon.

I have a love for foil polishes. I decided to go through my stash to see if I had anything close to Harvest Moon. The closest thing I could find was Revlon Copper Penny. Pictures Shown are 2 coats Copper Penny & 2 coats Harvest Moon.

NOTD: China Glaze Riveting (matte)

Hello Everyone!

The NOTD I have for you today is from the China Glaze Hunger Games collection. The polish is called Riveting. Riveting starts off with a sexy orange leaning red jelly base and is packed full of irregular shaped glitter/flake particles. The main color I see from the particles is gold. The particles really make this polish come alive. This polish has me confused as far as finish goes. It's not really a glass fleck polish, it's not a foil, and it's not a normal glitter. I'd say it's closer to being a glass fleck than any other finish. Riveting was very well pigmented and I only needed two coats to reach opacity, but I went ahead and did three just to be cautious. I saw a picture of a mani done with Riveting but topped with a matte topcoat. That's exactly how I chose to wear Riveting. I think it looks amazing matte. It looks like red hot coals to me. Way to go China Glaze! You never cease to amaze me. Picture shown is three coats Riveting over Qtica Natural Nail Growth Stimulator and topped with China Glaze Matte Magic.

So Sexy!

NOTD: China Glaze Fast Track

Hello Everyone!!

The NOTD I have for you today is from the new China Glaze collection for the upcoming Hunger Games movie. I know people rave about the books but I have not read them, nor do I even know what they're about. I will admit I am intrigued, but the truth of the matter is I couldn't even tell you the lat book I read. It's been THAT long ago.

On to the polish!

This is Fast Track. Fast Track is a beige base packed with golden shimmer. It really is a lovely color but I have so much trouble with nude type colors looking silly on my skin tone. I've been working on finding my HG mannequin hands color for a while now. I was hoping Fast Track would be a cool mannequin hands with a little pizzaz color for me but I just don't like it with my skin tone.

Picture shown is three coats over CND Stickey and topped with China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat.
